About Our Books Vallentine Mitchell, founded nearly fifty years ago, are international publishers of books of Jewish interest, both for the scholar and general reader. Subjects published include Jewish history, culture and heritage, modern Jewish thought, biography and reference.
Our Parkes-Wiener Series on Jewish Studies edited by David Cesarani and Tony Kushner brings together the distinguished scholarship of the Parkes Centre at the University of Southampton and the Wiener Library, in London, designed to publish new works of scholarship by established international scholars and newer writers and to reprint classic studies which are out of print.
The Library of Holocaust Testimonies, under the distinguished editorship of Sir Martin Gilbert, Ben Helfgott, Colin Richmond, Rafael Scharf and Donald Bloxham attempts to publish some of the more moving testimonies, particularly those which throw new light on the Holocaust experience.
Several important books on Jewish thought and religion by eminent Rabbis and thinkers, including books by Chief Rabbi Dr Jonathan Sacks, Emeritus Chief Rabbi Lord Jakobovits, Rabbi Dr Louis Jacobs and others have been published.
Vallentine Mitchell welcomes the opportunity to consider new works of Jewish interest and detailed proposals may be sent to our London offices.
